In heaven God's will is the only priority. A word from God brings angels to do His bidding, immediately and without question. Jesus instructed us to pray that God would accomplish His will in our world in the same way. "Your kingdom come , Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" Matthew 6:10. This means that God's purposes would be preeminent in our homes, our businesses, our schools, our government and our churches.

Jesus taught his disciples to pray that God's purposes be carried out in the world around them. It is as we seek God's kingdom on earth, and not our own purposes, that we gain the same mind as our Heavenly Father. We become collaborators with God by praying faithfully in agreement with His desires.

As we seek the Lord's will, He will guide our praying. He will involve us to not only pray, but also to become involved in His activity as He answers our prayers. If He places a burden on us to pray for an individual's salvation, that burden is also His invitation to join His activity in that person's life. Prayer will prepare us to be servants through whom God can bring about His will on earth. We are to pray that the Lord's absolute rule on earth will begin in each of our lives. Then let's watch and see how God uses us to extend His Lordship to others.

Isn't this what we at CenterPoint desire in each of our lives?......praying for God to Rule in Our Midst. How exciting to see how God will work through each of us individually, and as His church, as we become involved in His activity.

Once more we see God's blessing as three new families joined us on Sunday AND we have filled the openings on the prayer schedule. It's so encouraging to see God's hand move as we continue to realize the vision and direction of this ministry to reach the lost in the St. Croix Valley. What an awesome God!!!

Sunday, May 18th, marked our First Preview Service, which was held at the Holiday Inn Express. The owner graciously opened up the Conference Room for us to meet..... at no charge. Once more, we see God's favor as we seek to have our needs met. A sweet, peaceful and encouraging spirit reigned over that service and Pastor Dick gave a challenging word from the Book of Revelation and the Church of Philadelphia. The foundation of FAITH...its importance...keeps coming back to me. Hebrews 11:6, "Without FAITH it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him", really affirmed the importance of FAITH. Our relationship with God is largely determined in our Faith. We must believe He exists and that He is exactly who He reveals Himself to be in Scripture. Without this kind of Faith you cannot please God. We must believe He will respond to us as we earnestly seek Him. It can be easy to substitute religious activity for true Faith. We can claim we are being "good stewards" of our resources, when in fact we are walking by sight and not by Faith....Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see". We can actually refuse to do what God tells us unless all the resources are in place first. Faith has to do with our relationship...not our circumstances. Nothing is more secure or certain than that which we entrust to God. When God trusts us with a task that seems impossible, the only thing preventing it from coming to pass is our lack of Faith / or disobedience. God will lead us to do things that are impossible in our strength, but He will grant us victory as we step out in Faith. God wants to do the impossible through our lives. All He requires is FAITH and obedience. We certainly have experienced what seems or appears impossible factors in relation to our vision of planting CenterPoint Church. FAITH in our God of the impossible is our answer!!!
Love and Blessings, Sandy Erickson

Don't Get Too Comfortable...

We had a great first Preview Service.
