A Great CenterPoint Movie Night!

We had a great turnout for our first CenterPoint Movie Night.  Everyone brought their own lawn chair (all different shapes and sizes!) - and enjoyed watching "Fireproof". I think we'd all recommend it!

We all left well-fed (THANKS Germain family!) and looking forward to our next CenterPoint Movie Night!  Stay tuned!!

Has Spring Sprung?

We took this picture this morning in our back yard.  The robins are back!

It's incredible to think that in all their thousands of miles of travel, God takes care of all the birds...and we are more valuable to God than any of them!

God says in Psalm 50:11: "I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine."

Meet Brian!

Once we were given permission to use the St. Croix Falls High School this past fall, we were told that one of the custodians would have to agree to opening the building for us each Sunday morning.  This became a topic of prayer for several weeks!  Not only were we praying that someone would be willing to be there each Sunday, we were also praying that it would be someone we would enjoy working with.  God answered that request more than we could have imagined!

Meet Brian!  Brian is the lead custodian for the high school and has been an incredible help to us!  He sets up the stage each Sunday, provides the tables we need, has the number of cafeteria tables we use in place by the time we arrive, and rearranges everything once we leave.  Not only is he more than we asked or imagined, he is becoming a friend to everyone who comes to CenterPoint.

Thanks Brian!  We couldn't do it without your help!

You Need Only to be Still

There are times when a person can work as hard as they can, but still feel like they aren't making progress. Do you ever feel like that? Those are the times when we need to be reminded of who is leading us and who we are really following.

I was recently reading in the book of Exodus and was struck by Moses' response to the Israelites after they had been released from Egypt. When the Egyptians pursued them, the Israelites became terrified and began to question Moses and where he was taking them. They said, "It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!" (Exodus 14:12).

I felt like Moses' response was spoken right to me, and right to all of us who are following the Lord in helping to establish CenterPoint Church here in the valley.  Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid.  Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today...The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." (Exodus 14:13 & 14).

Let's all "be still" as we follow the Lord, standing firm as we keep focused on our goal of reaching our valley with the good news of Jesus Christ!

CELL Groups Starting Up Again

After taking a short break during and after the holidays, we're ready to start up the CELL Groups again.  This time we'll be looking at topics related to Practical Christian Living.  To see the topics, and to learn more about the purpose and vision for CELL Groups, click on "CELL Groups" found on the top bar.

CELL Groups are for anyone and everyone interested in joining a discussion around the Bible.  A list of days and locations when the groups are meeting can also be found under "How to Join a Group" under Cell Group on the top bar.  These groups are for anyone who would like to come!  As always, just Come As You Are!

CELL Groups are a great way to get connected!
