Biblical Core Convictions:

Great God / The Preeminece of God. The overriding characteristic of this core conviction is its emphasis on the glory and sovereignty of God.  All things are being worked out, not for man's honor, but God's glory.  We desire to grow in honoring God in everything we do.  We recognize that God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer of the world.  God draws us into a closer relationship with Him when we read His Word, pray to Him, obey, and worship Him. (Romans 11:36; Psalm 135:6).

Real Truth / The Importance of Truth.  In a world which has lost it's confidence that truth exists and can be known, we believe that God's Word is truth.  We seek to teach and preach it in a straight-forward, understandable, and practical way so that those seeking Christ may find Him, and believers may mature in Him.  John 17:17 says, "Sanctify them through thy truth:  thy Word is truth".

Applied Discipleship / Growing to maturity.  We ask everyone to commit to and fully participate in biblically functioning small groups where they may reach the lost, exercise their gifts, be shepherded, and thus grow in Christ-likeness.  (Colossions 1:28; Ephesians 4:11-16; Matthew 28:19,20).

Compassionate Outreach / Outreach.  We recognize that we can share the love of Jesus in various ways:  through hospitality, serving others, and meeting other's physical needs.  Through personal outreach and missionary partnership, we share the Good News of Christ's love for everyone.

Empowered Leaders / Empowered Leadership.  Those gifted, called, and qualified to lead will be empowered to lead.  (Ephesians 4:11,12; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Acts 20:28; Titus 1:5-7; 1 Timothy 3:1ff; Acts 6:1-6).
