Second Day of Prayer

handsfoldedinprayer-799927.jpg
April 29th will be our second Tuesday to fast and pray and it's exciting to see how many have signed up to participate!  At present, there are only two time slots open.  If anyone else feels led to join us, or take on an additional time, please let Sandy know. A schedule has been developed to allow ongoing prayer and fasting throughout the day on Tuesdays.  If, for any reason you need to change your time slot, please notify Sandy at: ericksonarchitects@centurytel.net.  The schedule will be continually updated.  Once again, whether or not you feel led to join us on Tuesdays for prayer and fasting, we invite you to join us in prayer for God's continued direction and blessing, and in faith seek God for His provision to meet our immediate and long term needs to build His church.

"Let's all seek God to show us where He is working around us and what He is about to do.  The revelation He gives then becomes your invitation to join Him.  How exciting is that!     'Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful man, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.'  .....Hebrews 12:1,2

Another Great Field Trip!

We had another great field trip...this time to Eagle Brook Church in Lino Lakes, Minnesota.  It's fun to talk together and to think about God's plan for CenterPoint Church. We always have alot of fun after the service  when we stop for lunch.  We'll plan another trip the end of May or early June.  Stay tuned....

Fresh Wind

wind.jpgWe've been praying that we would all begin to feel a fresh wind as God begins to draw people to Himself, and as He calls workers to serve the lost by becoming part of the CenterPoint Church Launch Team. We're hearing almost every day from those who sense the tug of God to be part of what He will be doing in and through CenterPoint.

Matthew 9:37 says, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers in his harvest." Is God asking you to be a worker in the harvest?  Here in the St. Croix Valley, over 70% of the people do not have a church home.  They are the harvest. The wind is beginning to blow....

Kite Flying / Barbecue Postponed & Rescheduled

Have you heard the forecast for Saturday?  SNOW!!  How about that?

Due to the wet conditions and cooler temperatures, the kite flying/hotdog barbecue is being postponed and rescheduled for NEXT Saturday, May 3rd.  The schedule will remain the same.  Please pray for blue skies and warmer temperatures.  We hope to see you then!

What's Happening this Weekend...April 26 & 27?

On Saturday, April 26th, we're praying that the weather cooperates for our kite flying afternoon in St. Croix Falls.  We'll be meeting from 1:30PM to 3:30PM on one of the school fields...just look for the kites!!  After that, we'll meet at the Lion's Club Park (on Hwy 87 about one mile north of the old cinema building in St. Croix Falls) for a hotdog barbecue at 4:00PM.  Please join us!  It sounds like it might be more chilly than it has been, so make sure to bring a coat.  We hope to see you then!

On Sunday, April 27th, we're going to make a quick trip to visit Eagle Brook Church in Lino Lakes.  If you'd like to come along, let's meet at the parking lot across from the Video Den/Lucky Panda in Osceola around 10AM.  The service begins at 11AM, so we'll want to leave around 10:15AM.  These field trips help to prepare us for the launch...AND it's so much fun to be together, and worship God together! We'll be carpooling, so let us know if you're coming.

CenterPoint Prayer

Believing in the incredible power of prayer, Tuesdays are being designated/dedicated as a day of Prayer and Fasting for individuals God is calling to participate in the vision and formation of  the ministry of CenterPoint Church .

For those of you not familiar with fasting, here is a brief explanation:
Fasting is simply abstaining from food for a period of time, whether a meal, a set number of hours, a day, or several days.  Fasting began in the Old Testament on the Day of Atonement as a sign of humility and repentance and focusing ones' heart on God.  Later some Hebrews began to look at fasting as a way to earn more of God's favor and it became a ritual.....God desires action, not ritual......Fasting is useless unless it is motivated by a sincere faith, repentance and obedience to God.

Our desire is to fast and pray in line with the vision for CenterPoint Church, which is to empower us to reach the lost in the Valley, bringing them to faith in Christ.  By meeting needs, nurturing those hurting, a willingness to interrupt our schedules and walk alongside the needy, and sharing and showing the love of Christ, we can bear much fruit.

Whether or not you feel led to join us on Tuesdays for prayer and fasting, we invite you to join us in prayer for God's continued direction and blessing, and in faith seek God for His provision to meet our immediate and long term needs to build His church.          lake.jpg

'IF YOU ABIDE IN ME AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, ASK WHATEVER YOU WISH AND IT WILL BE DONE FOR YOU.  BY THIS IS MY FATHER GLORIFIED, THAT YOU BEAR MUCH FRUIT AND SO PROVE TO BE MY DISCIPLES.'
John 15:7,8

The Rumble...and the Whisper...

We're hearing a rumble… and a whisper. The rumble we're hearing is the sound of CenterPoint Church getting ready for the countdown. It’s already starting to pick up steam and we haven’t even had our first official Launch Team meeting yet! The regional impact potential is both exciting and scary. We believe that God is even using what negative talk there may be to draw some additional attention. It’s so thrilling to join Him in what He’s doing in the St. Croix Valley!

That’s where the whisper comes in. So many people we've talked to have, like us, heard the whisper of God in this endeavor. Hearing God whisper to our hearts and minds what He wants us to do… and then obeying Him in whatever He asks. So many have already stepped up to the plate and saidhearing_gods_call.jpg to God, “Whatever… wherever… whenever… I’m ready.” We're going to ask you to be praying and listening to God as we prepare for our first Launch Team meeting that will be announced soon. There will be opportunities of service mentioned that, we believe, God desires to have covered by people willing to listen to His whisper and obey. So let’s listen to His whisper, let’s obey, and let’s be part of the rumble! Rumble is infinitely better than grumble… don’t you think?

In Christ,  Pastor Dick

Great Trip to Horizons!

We had a great trip to Horizons Community Church in Ham Lake, Minnesota.  Each time we visit a church, we learn new things.  After the service, we stopped in Forest Lake for brunch and discussed those things we'd like to incorporate into CenterPoint, and those things we'd do differently.  Most of all it was just a lot of fun being together.  We're going to try to arrange a field trip each month.  We want to take advantage of this time that we have to do some "research" together before we launch!

Maybe next time, YOU can be the one who climbs a tree...or perhaps you'd like to build a tower of french fries!Tim.jpg

Field Trip to Horizons Community Church

This coming Sunday, April 6th, we'll be taking a field trip to Ham Lake, Minnesota, to attend Horizons Community Church.  If you would like to join us, we'll be meeting at the parking lot across from the Video Den in Osceola.  We plan to carpool, so if we can be set to leave at 8AM, that would be great!  The service begins at 9AM.  After the service, we'll plan to stop in Forest Lake for brunch, to enjoy fellowshipping together, and to discuss what we observed at the service.  If you're planning on joining us, could you please let us know so that we don't leave without you?  Call us at our home, 294-1833.  We really hope that you can come along!!
